Veronica Post is an award-winning author and illustrator of graphic novels, comics and children’s books. President of the Comic Creators Society of Nova Scotia, and founding member of the Foghorn Collective , Veronica enjoys being part of the amazing community of comic artists at home and all around the world. She loves to weave philosophy, humor and social commentary into stories of a not-so-ordinary life.

Designed to expose the reality of travel in a wheelchair to able-bodied readers, this book fosters greater understanding and change toward a more inclusive world. Based on the real experiences of the author and her father while on vacation in the Netherlands, this book invites readers along for the ride as they experience air travel and train travel with a wheelchair. From negotiating with hotel staff over bathroom access to waving down help from a good Samaritan when a ramp is not available, readers will get a real sense of the barriers to day-to-day activities that wheelchair users and their families face. This is the first book in a series following Langosh and his faithful dog, Peppi, as they explore out-of-the-way places in Budapest and the Balkans. Through streets, alleys, tunnels, train stations, abandoned structures and the countryside, they witness the effects of colliding social, political and interpersonal situations.
However, their days of carefree adventure soon come into stark relief against the tragic personal struggles of those who are swept up in the 2015 “Migrant crisis”. Langosh and Peppi meet those who’s lives are enmeshed with the wars and conflicts that continue to divide and destroy so many lives.
